- How did I get away with that?

- My last 3 were all in bad conditions, 2 could hardly walk, so I couldn't chase your equally knackered survivor ;) Only problem with this mission I think, its size means potential stalemate if it's quite even at the end...

- Going through a similar problem. Robsraiders, fair play, his one guy has whittled my five remaining crew, including 3 cripples, down to two in the chase. It's become like Benny Hill! Only two turns left then a draw.
I like the size of both the scenario and the number, not a problem there for me, but maybe rather than this runaround, the one with the most kills wins at the end of the turns. Otherwise it's catch me, catch me. Posted by

- The only problem with that is that it might encourage more defensive play, I think. The kill em all objective encourages aggression, most kills wins combined with indestructible walls would change the mood, don't you think?

- Not necessarily but perhaps. But it is very easy when you are reduced to one or two men near the very end of the game to simply hide. I could have easily have done that against Forces of Nature in our game earlier with only several turns left and he having two more men than I. However I chose to come out rather than hide away somewhere and allow the clock to countdown. I lost.

- At the moment I find neither side usually acts more defensively or aggresively than the other despite the game being supposedly organised as defenders and attackers in the 'big push', both sides often play rather cagey. In fact the 'attackers' I've usually played against usually play just as defensively as the so called 'defenders' waiting for the defenders to push forward! Not sure a most kills change would change how this mission is played to be honest.
Since it's called the 'big push' maybe changing the objective for the 'attackers' to get at least X amount of men to the other side through the 'defenders' before the 20 turns runs out would work better? That would certainly make more aggressive play from the side that is suppose to be making the big push, the scenario living up to it's name. Posted by

- Hmm, I always play aggressively and I pretty much only lose to other aggressive players. I'll be happy to play test with anyone who thinks defensive tactics are better.
At the moment giving up territory is a dangerous tactic because you probably won't have time to hunt down survivors, as well as being cramped and an easier target. Attacking gives you that time, and if it goes wrong then maybe you can hold out. I think changing the rules would turn it into a bigger version of Hit And Run, which would be horrible, imo. You can always ask Steve to create an alternative version though, if you want to try it out! Posted by

- Also, I've found draws to be pretty rare, 1 in 20 or 30, I'd say. The overall stats for the mission are higher, but still only 6%.
