Steve, something I meant to comment on before. How can a smoke grenade neutralise a nerve gas grenade? I've seen this tactic used before and to me it must be a bug that is being exploited. It does unfortunately reduce the appeal of nerve gas if it can simply be cancelled out by throwing a smoke grenade in to it and changing it from green to white.
This was mentioned in another thread. One type of smoke covers up another, with the exception of "fire" which isn't replaced. Do you think it would improve the game if nerve gas took priority?
Sorry to butt in but I think nerve gas should take priority over smoke. As nerve gas is a weapon with bite and smoke is only meant for camouflaging it makes sense to preserve each weapons original purpose. Gas masks one day?
Yes though fire extinguishers are available to counter incendiary grenades. I only suggested it as a fun item for the future really. If a gas mask was priced correctly it might work and be a tactical variation. For now I favour the suggestion of never gas priority over smoke as it seems reasonable. Though I don't think I have lost a single game or been upset due to smoke grenade exploitation.
Yes I believe that nerve gas should take priority. Too easy by the crafty to neutralise it with a smoke grenade. Some will say well they aren't breaking the rules, and nobody is suggesting they are, I'm suggesting that it's a bad rule that should be changed because apart from the fact it doesn't make logical sense it renders nerve gas worthless when played against certain opponents who exploit the loophole as I see it.
I used smoke grenades often as a tool to free myself from a gas attack. I also use smoke grenades to multiply the effectiveness of an incendiary grenade. It is a very handy weapon. If the rules change, I find out something else.
