I've just taken up a game with a complete newbie. Is that right? I've gone for just SP30's.
I remember when I first started, Sir Gregory kept giving me requests for hideout missions. I would lose and then another would be sent. Stupidly I kept accepting them, and after 6 losses I stopped. Should change his name, as no nobility or chivalry in that. Hope he comes on here sometime so I can now kick his arse.
I used to like to play with newbies myself, but the chance of being mistaken for a league points scavenger made me stop that line of behaviour. Speaking on Sir Gregory, as i recall he was a pretty honourable player with me, no complains at all on this side, but it is true he liked that mission too much...

Given the way points are calculated, you don't get much from a noob anyway.
With Alien Hordes I used to play the newbies with me having a handicap. If they were particularly green I would drop the queen or have several units inactive. I wanted them to get a taste of the mission, learn and have fun. Then one day a new newbie gave me a hell of a game and he was called Paasque! The second time I mistook a player as a newbie (also had a crazily hard game) and that player was FoN!
Well i was such a die hard laser squad fan on the original spectrum, then was playing it on the zx spectrum emulators you got online for v long time wishing someone would develop a modern day version. And here we are .
