Game 421 : The Exterminators vs victor - On ending turn I just killed Ratface Flanigan doing 120 points of damage with a grenade blast, (the one nearest the centre of the base.) The client left me hanging with a the "please wait" message for an age before I finally gave up and hit ESC. I got the following error message:
Error on Thu Jul 15 21:17:05 BST 2010 Type: class java.io.IOException Message: Timeout waiting for data. Stack trace: ssmith.io.IOFunctions:17 - WaitForData dsr.comms.WGet:155 - <init> dsr.comms.WGet:56 - <init> dsr.UpdateServerThread:52 - run End of error details.
Now it's letting me continue my turn but the grenade has already exploded but it doesn't seem to have registered that Ratface has been killed. :(
Game 451 : Breakout vs kael - I just had pretty much the same thing happen again. I threw 2 AP100 grenades. 1 which killed Anderson before the game crashed. I think it might have killed another unit that was with him too. Maybe Dickson? The other grenade was thrown at Stone and O'Hara and killed them on the client but the data doesn't seem to have transferred. Here is the error report:

Restarting the client was very strange. The grenade which killed Anderson and I think Dickson has disappeared, Anderson laying dead. The other grenade thrown at Stone and O'Hara is laying on the floor where I threw it now unprimed I think.
I've just noticed the time on the error - midnight, the time my computer backs itself up. I think this must be why you got the timeout error. Is it all okay now?

No, my grenades haven't worked. I think there should have been another unit killed with Anderson (possibly Dickson), there is an AP75 grenade sitting on the ground which he might have been carrying? Also the grenade which originally killed Stone and O'Hara is sitting beside them now unprimed. I can no longer see kael's units either which is strange because I spotted them earlier on that turn when I threw the grenades. After running for cover I now have no action points left to do anything.
If I "kill" Anderson, Stone, and OHara, and remove the grenade that is next to Stone and O'Hara, does that fix everything? I just want to be sure before I change the data.

Anderson is dead already - I think that was the last thing that happened before the crash. I think another unit 'should' have been killed along with Anderson (possibly Dickson). If there was a unit stood near to Anderson when the AP100 grenade exploded beside him then he was killed. I think that mysterious AP75 grenade might have been where he was standing?
Other than that - yes kill Stone and O'Hara and remove the AP100 grenade that is beside them.
Sorry to cause such a fuss but it was kind of a critical moment of the game.
Game 456: Breakout vs kael. I just had the same thing happen again. I threw 2 AP100 grenades on the same turn and got another Timeout waiting for data. Rita Rumpole was definitely killed by 1 of the grenades but the data didn't transfer. I don't know what happened with the 2nd grenade, the client seemed to have stopped working by then. On restarting the client I see the grenade which killed Rumpole has exploded, but it is still on the ground in the doorway now unprimed. Rumpole seems to have cheated death. The 2nd grenade is unexploded and now unprimed in the other doorway.
I don't know how kael feels but I am willing to scrap this game and try again another time if sorting this is too problematic.
To me it seems like throwing 2 or more AP100 grenades on the same turn causes so much devastation that the server fails to transfer the data properly. Steve, can you somehow trial priming a few AP100 grenades and killing a lot of units in 1 turn to see if you can recreate this problem?
Here is the error log anyway:
